About this course

Thermal cameras show heat you cannot see: failing solar cells, loose connections, wet roofs, leaking insulation. India has a very large solar and power sector, so thermal inspection skills are in steady demand. This course covers the physics, the equipment and the flight practice.

India context

What to know in India

  • Inspections inside plants and substations need site permission and safety induction in addition to the Drone Rules

Drone rules in India are issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and managed through the Digital Sky platform. They change from time to time, so IDA admissions confirms the current requirement for your category and operation at enrolment.
